Ministry of Law A citizen's initiative to stop unsolicited calls

I registered my mobile phone with the Do Not Call register several years ago. For some time, it helped to stop the unsolicited marketing calls.

During the past two years, I keep getting the unwanted calls. Initially, they came from overseas numbers. Later, I get the calls from local numbers, including personal mobile phones. 

Initially, I ignored these calls and terminated them abruptly. 

One day, I went to the PDPA website to lodge a complaint. It was difficult for me to navigate through the complicated website. I have to sieve through a lot of irrelevant information.

I finally found the place to lodge a report. I was disappointed. The PDPA expected me to lodge a police report. 

It will take me a lot of time and trouble to lodge the report. Worse, the report will probably be filed away. I do not expect the police to follow up. 

This is why the callers have been blatant in recent years. They know that they will not be called up by the police or the PDPA.

I decided to create a citizen's initiative to deal with this problem. I created this website to make it easy for the called person to lodge a report.
