Difference between general advice and "personal advice"
Some people do not know the difference between general advice and personal advice.

I give general advice to young people, and to older people, to be frugal and to spend their money wisely, e.g. do not pay twice the price for branded products when unbranded products may be suitable.

I do not give "personal advice" to any specific person on their personal choice of how they wish to spend their money, or what they should do, or should not do.
I do not know about the personal circumstance of that person, and their personal preference. I avoid giving them "personal advice".

Some people have a habit of giving their "personal advice" to me. I find these advice to be unwanted and unhelpful. Sometimes, I find them to be rude and insulting. I usually delete these unwanted advice.

Somehow, these people seem to think that they are being helpful. They are not. It seems to be a prevailing culture to be intrusive into another person's privacy.
