Mr Bilahari has made a serious allegation which is defamatory.  He concluded from one incident in a bus that Mr Tan Kin Lian is a racist.  In that incident he didn’t say or pass any racist remarks.  All he said was because the bus was full of Indians, he thought he was in Mumbai.  It was a cheeky off-the-cuff remark for which Mr Tan had apologised and which I accepted.

Let me put everything in context.
Everything that Mr Tan had done for the minority races is destroyed by this malicious post of Mr Bilahari.  A totally different perception of Mr Tan is put out by Mr Bilahari.

I state categorically that Mr Tan Kin Lian is not a racist.  He had done so much for the minority races, policyholders, financial consultants and employees.  We all appreciated his hard work and his sense of fairness to all.  All races were treated equally.

I hav known Mr Tan Kin Lian since  1986.  I joined NTUC Income(now Income Insurance Limited) that year.  Mr Tan Kin Lian recruited me.  He treated me and all minority races fairly, giving us our our dues.  No discrimination.  He also gave me “Guiding Star Award” for conducting voluntary Training in Income. My wife L Bhanumathi is working as a Senior Financial Consultant in Income for the last 25 years. He also encouraged me to conduct Training at Centre for Seniors.  We upgraded ourselves many times because of his encouragement. 

Again I state that Mr Tan is not a racist!  If Mr Bilahari is a gentleman, he should retract and apologise to Mr Tan.
