Singapore Provide LCD display at the bus stop
Many cities have a LCD display at the bus stop showing the bus services and the arrival time of the next bus for each service. This is useful to tell the commuters how long they have to wait for their next bus. 

I posted a suggestion to have this display and receive the following objections:

1)  It is costly to set up and maintain
2)  We can use the app for this information
3)  Why do you want to know the time? Just wait for the bus

I wish to give this reply to the objections.

1) The LCD display should be inexpensive to install - may $1,000 per display. It is a small cost relative to the total cost of building a bus stop. The running cost is also low. Even if the display has to be changed every few years, the cost is not an issue.

2) The user has to take many steps on the app to find the information. It can be quite troublesome. Sometimes, it does not work due to poor connection.

3) It is useful for the commuter to know the waiting time, as he or she may want to use that time for other useful activities, such as browsing the internet.

I believe that many commuters will find the LCD display to be useful and the cost of providing this display is low.
