Give feedback to customer
Many business organizations call me by mobile phone to give me an update to an issue that I raised earlier.

I often do not get the call because my phone was on silent mode and is not with me. Sometimes the call reached me when I am outside.

The support staff could have sent the update to me by email, SMS or WhatsApp.

However, most organizations do not allow their support staff to use these other channels. They insist on making a telephone call, so that the call is recorded.

It is an inconvenient and unproductive way to communicate with the customer.  These organizations should adopt a more practical approach. They should forget about recording conversations. 

Anyway, if they send an email or text message, they can also keep a record.
