Out of the box CECA brings benefits to Singapore
My crystal ball (CB) whispered - Boss, CECA does bring business and benefits into Singapore. It is not that bad - not like what most people think.

TKL - Why?

CB - Most people complain about the influx of Indian nationals working in the IT and finance industry, right? Do you realize that that these Indian professionals are working for international companies that move their operations from India to Singapore? You can see these international companies in Changi Business Park and in Marina Bay Financial Center.

TKL - Can you explain?

CB - Look at the international banks and software companies. If there is no supply of professionals, will they set up their operations in Singapore? They may go to other countries.

TKL - Is that so? 

CB - Hello boss. Don't act stupid, OK? I know you like to speak for locals, but be realistic, can or not?

TKL - How does it benefit Singapore? There is a flood of "foreign talents" that now work in Singapore, contributing to overcrowding and other problems.

CB - Boss, these people need to buy properties and rent apartments, right? They bring their family here and spend in the economy. This helps to give rental to local property owners, right. They also give business to the local businesses, right?

TKL - What about the "foreign talents" that cause locals to lose their jobs and take over the jobs of the locals.

CB - Boss, this problem is not caused by CECA. It is caused by the MOM who allows local companies to anyhow recruit foreigners to replace the locals to reduce their cost. 

TKL - Real or not? 

CB - Hello boss. You should tell MOM to tighten their channels, OK? They should vet the credentials of the people that are being employed by the local companies.

TKL - Sure or not? Some people say that the Indian nationals can come in through CECA and then move to work in other local companies, and take over the jobs of the locals.

CB - You better check with your minister for manpower. I believe that they do not allow these internal movement. If you come through CECA, you stay with the CECA company.

TKL - She is busy checking on the foreign worker dormitories now. How?

CB - Alamak, boss. Tell her to focus on the CECA problem also, can?

TKL - Are you saying the people should not blame HSK for negotiating the CECA agreement? 

CB - Yalor! Because people blame him, he has to cook up the East Coast plan. Now he is busy to develop the East Coast plan that he promised during GE2020.
