Movement for change
Support views for change
I pass this message for people who don't like the PAP and wish to see change.
You have the following choice:
a) Support the people who take the risk to speak out.
b) Continue to have your own view, instead of giving your support.
I find quite a large number of people in category (b). They have different views and like to express their difference.
Even if they agree 80% with what is proposed, they will amplify the 20% that they disagree with. And the 20% is just a matter of opinion.
To these people, I have to tell you that you are not helping the cause, you are not helping to galvanize support to have a change of govt.
Think carefully. What do you want? Do you want the status quo to remain? Do you want the govt to remain arrogant and disregard the welfare of the people? If that is what you want, you can continue to be negative and amplify your disagreement.
If you want to see change, you should find reason to support the views of people who put them forward, i.e. the views that are alternative to what the govt is doing now.
I am not asking you to give total and blind support. If you have a fundamental disagreement, you do not need to support the alternative view.
But if this is just a personal opinion and preference, do think about the common interest and support the alternative view strongly.
Do not try to be clever and put forward your own view. It will not help the cause of change.
