Secure platform to receive genuine messages
A scammer sent an email to the public asking them to click on a link to retrieve their CDC voucher. The link went to a phishing website, where the scammer can retrieve the login credentials for SingPass.
I have written to SGTech and suggested that they introduce a secure platform for government agencies and approved commercial organizations (such as banks, utility companies, etc) to send their messages to the public.
Only authorized organizations can send these messages. The public can retrieve messages from this secure platform and be confident that they are genuine messages from the approved organizations.
The public will ignore messages sent to their email address, because they could come from scammers.
Do you think that this is a good idea?
