I regularly received messages from unknown people in WhatsApp. They do not show their name in their phone, so WhatsApp could not pass the name to me.

They assumed that I knew them. It was presumptuous.

When I asked for their name, they gave a partial name, such as George. They think that they were the only George in the world. They were inconsiderate and self centered.

It is important for everybody to be considerate.

In my case, I put my full name in my phone. When I send a WhatsApp message to a new contact, my full name appears in the message, so that the recipient know whom is sending the message.
Many people have the notion that they should keep their name out of their phone for privacy. They should be aware of the trouble that they are giving to other people that they are trying to reach.
