Simply Go app
I share my experience using the Simply Go app. To summarize, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience. The app was badly designed and contained bugs.
Actually, I had downloaded the app more than a year ago. I used it at that time. It was troublesome and difficult to use. I abandoned the app and forgot about it.
As the Land Transport Authority (LTA) has now announced that it will be the Simply Go platform will be the sole platform for our public transport service, I decided to try the app again.
When I logged in with the correct ID and password (which were remembered in my phone), I received a strange message - invalid certificate. I tried it several times, and got the same message. I have no idea what the problem was.
I updated my app. I got the same error message.
I used "forget password" to reset my password. This time, I got a new error message - your session has time out. I tried several times, and got the same message. The session time out before it started.
Out of desperation, I decided to uninstall my app and reinstall it. This time it went through.
There were three cards registered in my account - an expired concession card, the current concession card and a bank card.
I tried to delete the expired concession card and got a message - This card has been nominated for the Travel Smart Journey (TSJ). I have to change the nominated card in the TSJ service before I can delete this card.
I searched for the TSJ service in the entire app and could not find it. There were 15 services under the Services section. The TSJ was not there.
I finally managed, by accident, to find TJS under the Rewards tab. After some effort, I managed to change the nominated card for this reward (which I do not intend to use).
The app responded slowly. I have to press several buttons many times before the app responded.
As I had expected, the app contains many services which I do not understand and do not intend to use. I prefer a simpler app that contains the essential services that are easy to understand and to find.
Most importantly, I prefer an app that does not give me so much trouble just to login.

Additional note.
Although I am quite familiar with using apps, I still went through a lot of trouble to use the Simply Go app. I suggest that LTA should improve the design of the app and remove the obvious bugs. If not, their customer service staff will have to handle many users who faced the same problems that I faced.
