Paid mail
Each day, I receive several dozen of emails from advertisers and individuals whom I do not know.
I can put a setting in my Gmail to put these emails straight into the spam folder. However, there is a risk that some of these emails are important to me, for example reminders from platforms that I had subscribed to.
So, I do not activate the "spam" setting. Instead, I delete the unwanted emails individually.
I like to suggest a new way to filter out the unwanted email. The sender can pay a fee, say $0.01, to a central fund to send out a "paid" email. This can be achieved through a setting.
The "paid" email will carry out a special mark. It will tell the addressee that the sender has made this payment. This will set aside the serious email from the free emails.
The receiver can put a setting to send all email, that do not have this paid mark, to the spam folder.
The money collected from the central fund can be donated to charity or shared among the providers of the email service.
