In 2026, when the RTS (rapid transit system) between Singapore and Johor Bahru opens, it will cut down travel time from 1 hour to 10 mins.

The RTS will be connected to the Thomson East Coast Line and to the rest of Singapore.

Many Malaysian workers will live in Johor Bahru near the RTS station in Bukit Chagar, which is a close walking distance from City Square and Komtar.

I expect the prices of private properties in Johor Bahru will boom. This is the opinion of a lay person (TKL) and not a property expert.

There are many residential properties in Johor Bahru. Perhaps the largest in Princess Cove. I think that the price of Price Cove should move up soon.

I bought a commercial suite in Quayside JJBC. It will operate like a hotel. I am not sure if the opening of RTS will benefit the hotel industry. I hope so.

I guess that a better choice will be residential property, perhaps Princess Cove.
