Tan Kin Lian - Investment Journey Investment in Tesla
I now hold 6,000 shares in Tesla. The current stock price is $260 USD. My total holdings is $1,560,000 or $2,121,000 SGD. This represents slightly more than 50% of my total investment of $4,040,000.

My portfolio is clearly overweight in Tesla. It is not a balanced portfolio. It is highly speculative and risky.  

However, as I am investing with my spare funds, I can afford to take a long term view. Even if the stock price drop by 30%, it does not matter to me. I can wait for its recovery. 

Tesla is now suffering the negative impact of the economic slowdown in America and globally. I consider this to be a short term situation. I can afford to ride out this period. I will stay invested in Tesla. 

Some people are curious about my cost price for the 6,000 shares. It is about the same as the current price. But I had made significant profits in Tesla stock over the past three years. My realized gain was probably more than $500,000 SGD.
