Presidential Elec 2023 Media release - 29 August 2023

In my second broadcast, I spoke on these two points, among others:

Family value: Today, I am grateful for a loving wife, three adult children and five adorable grandchildren. It is wonderful to have a family where the members take care of each other over the years. I will continue to uphold important family values as this is the cornerstone of any society,

I encourage our young people to get married at an earlier age, if they can afford to do so. 

Apology: As an active and outgoing person, I like to share about my daily activities and observations of everyday life l. I have never meant any disrespect to the people I encounter. To all those who have found any of what I have said in the past upsetting or inappropriate, I would like to sincerely apologize for it. I will be more mindful of what I say and do in the future. 

I have decided to cancel the online rally that was previously scheduled for 30 August due to a conflict of priorities. My campaign team had to comply with formalities under the election regulations. Due to our limited resources, I decided to focus on meeting the regulations. 

I wish to thank all the volunteers in my campaign,  my family members and donors, and all others (including the media) who have helped in one way or another.
