Giving my view on another person's writing
When I write on a topic, I checked the facts and write my thoughts clearly in a paper. I usually write a short paper, so that it can be read within a short time.
I often get comments from some people who criticized my view. It is obvious that:
a) They are ignorant of the topic
b) They do not read my paper clearly
c) They have a different view, often a wrong one, based on their limited knowledge.
I find these people to be rude, arrogant and presumptuous. They think that they are "smart".
Now I talk about the reverse situation. I adopt the following approach towards what someone else have written:
a) If they write poorly, I ignore their writing
b) I look for what they write that I agree with.
c) If they have a point that I consider to be factually wrong, I state what I think the actual facts are, but avoiding suggesting that they are wrong. Maybe I was wrong.
I try to be helpful and constructive, so that there is a better understanding of the topic.
