There is alarm about the increase in cases in Singapore in recent days, due to the spread of omicron variant. 

It is already known that omicron is highly transmissible. 

We need to monitor the hospitalization and deaths. 

So far, the figure in Singapore is still quite low. 

The table below shows the comparison of covid patients in ICU per million of population in several countries. 

Singapore shows the lowest rate among these countries. 

There is no need to be alarmed, unless this number jumps significantly in the days ahead.
