An inefficient process to handle a dispute

Someone shared this story about a road bully who broke his mobile phone during a dispute on the road.

Story
I went to the magistrate court to make a complain , run up and down 5 times ...
Until the lady judge asked me to gave a chance for the youngster ....
To my disappointment , I have 2 conditions ....
1. Write a apologies letter
2. Donate $150 to any charitable organization with receipt...
But was turned down by the youngster ...
He want only verbally apologies...
When I was summon in to the court which the youngster already seated ...
I choose to sit beside him ...
But was chased away by him ....
A very arrogant young man I never encounter before ....
Immediately I stopped the mediation and told the judge I'll pursue the case Now ...it dragged over a years and still pending ....
That is how our Police efficiency work

TKL perspective
I believe that the police does not want to handle this case as an offense. They want the complainant to settle the dispute through mediation.

However, the civil process takes up so much more resources of the civil servants. This is another example of the wastefulness that is happening in Singapore in recent years.

It would be more efficient for the case to be handled as an offense and for a magistrate to issue a ruling.

There is something seriously wrong with the current government.
