America How did the Taliban win control of the cities so quickly?
After American announced their withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Taliban was able to capture the provincial cities at an astonishing speed. 

The Afghan military did not put up any resistance to the Taliban.

Many observers said that the Afghan soldiers were not paid and were not willing to fight the Taliban.

I heard another story.

The Taliban used psychology. 

Before the battle, the Taliban sent their fighters to talk to the Afghan soldiers. they told the soldiers that they have two choices - to fight the Taliban or to give up.

If they fight, it will be a bloody battle. 

If they give up, there will be no fighting. They will not lose their lives and their families will be safe. 

Why fight on behalf of a government that is the puppet of the imperialist countries?

The Afghan soldiers opted to give up.

This story sounded quite credible.
