Covid-19 crisis

Asymptomatic cases not likely to spread the virus
This is from WHO (World Health Organization) . The technical expert said - it is rare for asymptomatic person to transmit the virus.

I have believed this all along. I based my belief on my common sense observation.

I have told our insane ministers (who lead the task force) on several occasions to drop the insane protocols on "safe entry" and focus on catching the symptomatic cases, i.e. temperature scanning. They should also make it easy for these symptomatic people to get the covid testing.
When will the insane ministers consider this common sense approach?

We can provide temperature scanners at many public places, e.g. MRT stations, bus interchanges, malls, schools, etc. These scanners can be unmanned.

We encourage people to scan a few times each day.

If they have a temperature (which indicates symptom of covic infection), they should appear in a special covid clinic. They can be checked again for temperature and other symptoms. If confirmed, they can be given a free covid test.

Thse special clinics should be made easily accessible and available all over the place.

The resources and money that is now spent on safe entry recording (which is useless) can be diverted to the installation of the self service temperature scanners and the setting up of the special covid clinics - with trained staff doing the tests.

This approach will be more effective, less costly and more useful.

Do you agree?
