Better to be "folksy"
Why did the trade union leaders felt offended by being described as folksy?
Google show the definition of folksy - informal and unpretentious.
I would have thought that the description is complimentary.

Perhaps some of them prefer to be described as elitist or snobbish? I hope not.

When I read this description, I thought immediately of the popular and highly respected US president, Ronald Reagan. He likes to tell jokes, mostly about the Soviet Union, in a folksy manner.

If the union leaders don't like the description, can they pass it to me? I don't mind bring called - Folksy TKL.

If anyone wants to feel offended, wait till they cross my path. I will describe them as insane or idiots. I have already awarded the accolade to some people in high places and the people who follow them blindly.

Better to be folksy, rather than insane or idiots, right?
