Excellent customer service from Xiaomi
I wish to commend Xiaomi for their excellent customer service.
My smart band 3 failed within the 1 year warranty period. I searched online for information on how to claim on the warranty.
I found a website that allowed me to send a message to the customer service location. The online form required me to fill up my name, email, telephone and the detail of my request.
I was able to submit the online form easily. It took me just one minute.
What a big contrast to the online forms of many other organizations, which required me to provide additional information that are confusing and to read lengthy instructions on how to submit the information.
.I receive a reply from the customer service center by email within one day. This occurred during the lockdown period - yet, they were able to give a prompt and relevant reply.
The reply provided useful information to guide me on the next step that I had to take.
Well done, Xiaomi.
I have similar good experience with Oppo - the manufacturer of the mobile phone. It seemed that the customer service process of China companies are helpful and customer friendly.
This is in big contrast to the customer service process adopted by most other companies around the world. The process adopted in Singapore is, in my experience, probably among the worst.
