Covid-19 crisis
Analyze the data obtained from the covid tests
The ministerial task force is probably carrying out large scale testings of the foreign workers living in dormitories. This is costing a huge sum of money. The purpose is to identify who are found to be infected for the virus and to put them in quarantine.
The task force should not miss the opportunity to analyze the results and learn valuable findings about the corona virus.
What other information are useful?
a) How many tests were conducted each day and how many subjects were found to be positive? What is the infection rate?
b) What does it mean to be found positive? How many are symptomatic and how many are under incubation?
c) What types of tests are being carried out and how reliable are the results?
d) What happened to those that are found positive and placed under quarantine? What is the progression of the infection? What percent is found to be mild and to become severe?
The task force should provide the data to researchers and academics to analyze the results. This will probably a better understanding of the spread of infections within the dormitories.
We may be able to get lessons that may be applicable to the general population. We should not miss this opportunity to carry out the detailed analysis.
I do not see why there is a need to keep the data secret. Worse, I am worried that the data is not being analyzed.
To observe privacy, we can give a number to each data so that the actual person is not identified.
I hope that our ministerial task force is aware of the importance of using the data and will make them available to the researchers and academics to make their study.
