Out of the box Keep apps simple and focused
Many of the apps are difficult to use. They contain too many options. They distract from the key functions that users need in the app.

Examples of badly designed apps are:

a) Airline apps, e.g Jetstar
b) Banking apps, e.g. DBS PayLah
c) Health apps, e.g. Health Hub, Healthy 365.

They should focus on the key functions, for example:

a) An airline app should make it easy to search for a flight, book a flight and view the bookings
b) A banking app should make it easy to make and view the payments
c) The health app should make it easy to book and view appointments and see the past health records. 

These apps tend to have too many unrelated functions. These functions intrude on the main functions and cause distraction and confusion. These functions should be eliminated, or kept on the sidelines.
