QR Code takes more time
I went to Yummy Noodles in Sembawang Hills Food Center and ordered $4 laksa. I opted to pay by QR code. It is the only stall in the food center that accepts this option.

I had to take many steps to make this QR payment. I explain below:

a) I search for DBS PayLah. It is one of 100 apps on my mobile phone.
b) I have to enter the PIN. I entered the wrong PIN and had to do it again.
c) I clicked on the QR code. (I have used this app before, so I knew where it is.
d) DBS PayLah pop up an irrelevant message telling me that I can view my cards. (I don't need to do it, but this popup refuses to go away. I have to accept it)
e) The app says that I have no card to display. (I actually have many cards, so I don't know why it gives this reply).
f) I clicked on the Pay button. (Sorry, it was the wrong button.).
g) I clicked on the QR button. I entered the amount and receive a confirmation screen where I have to click on "Let's Go".

I told the stall holder - it is more troublesome that paying cash, right? She said - it's okay.

I asked her - how many customers paid by QR code? She showed me to her printer. I am the only customer that pay in this manner today. Wow - the QR system (supplied by NETS) include a printer to print the receipt, It must be a costly system, apart from being troublesome.

If PM Lee wonders why QR payment is not working, he should visit Sembawang food center.

PM Lee - I hope you are listening.
