Movement for change Set price guidelines for many services
I am in favor of setting price guidelines for many services, e.g. health, repair work, tuition, transport, etc.

I also like these price benchmarks to be placed in a website for easy reference. 

In some cases, the service providers have to abide by the guidelines, e.g. if they wish to get paid partially from government funds, as is the case with health care. 

Similarly, the observance of the price guidelines is a necessary condition for getting a license to do technical or repair work. 

It is not difficult to set the price guidelines by analyzing the data of the prices charged for that service. 

I wish to deal with exceptions:

a) A service provider, e.g. doctor, who has special skills and wish to charge a higher price than the guidelines, should inform the customer about the deviance from the guidelines and get the customer to agree to it.

b) We also need a way to resolve disputes between the service provider and customer.  It can be handled by using a simplified adjudication process, instead of going to the law court.  

The current approach is to ignore the problem and to leave to the market and the court to sort out the pricing and dispute. It is a lazy approach. We need the people in charge to find a better way to handle this matter.
