At 93, Mahathir's leadership-in-action puts our PAP Ministers to shame
The chemical waste that has been dumped at Pasir Gudang and affected some 3000 people was most unfortunate. Yet, there are very valuable and eye-opening lessons that Singaporeans should take heed.

Having learned about the incident, Tun Mahathir flew in the very night to understand for himself first-hand the situation there despite being 93 years of age.  Environment Minister Yeo Bee Yin was also on the ground that very night. She sought to understand the situation better attempted to keep things under control.

These are instances of true leadership and caring about the safety and welfare of the people. Let's contrast this with the behaviour of our very well-paid PAP Ministers.

When our MRT broke down so many times in the past and affected thousands upon thousands of commuters, how many times did our transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan go down to the affected stations to understand the situation better? What about his 2 senior Ministers Of State?

Despite some of them not having proven their worth, those PAP ministers sure know that they must be paid a salary equal to what top earners earn in the private sector. Clearly, Singaporeans have been sucked so bad until they are so used to it already. So sad.

Anyway, I sincerely wish that the Malaysian authorities well.
