Covid-19 crisis

Wear a mask
Someone asked the question - why do I wear a mask now, when I said earlier that there is no need to wear a mask?

That person is obviously stupid!

When the situation change, we have to change our approach. If the number of infected persons increased, the risk of infection is higher. It becomes advisable to wear a mask.

But my real reason is the call by the health authority for social distancing. As it is not possible to implement social distancing in a crowded bus, the next best approach is to wear a mask.

I only wear the mask when I am in a crowded place. I take off the mask when I walk on the footpaths.

I am still not alarmed at the current spread of infection in Singapore. Here are my reasons:

a) The warm temperature in Singapore
b) Most cases of infections are mild and the patients are discharged

Nevertheless, we should do what we can to stop the spread by washing hands often and practice social distancing, especially with elderly people who are frail.

We should not over-react to the risk and take extreme measures that are harmful to the economy.
